Job Description

Hermes has undergone a significant transformation moving from a parcel-centric business to a customer-focused business. There continues to be significant investment into IT realising Hermes’ vision of being a digital business with data being a significant enabler for the Hermes Business Strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Our Warehouse Operatives are responsible for the loading and unloading of vehicles, plus the sorting and scanning of parcels into cages.
  Our depots process anything from 40,000 to 100,000+ parcels in a shift
• . But don’t worry, you won’t be tackling them alone! Team work will be key and there’ll be some smart kit to help.
• You’ll use hand-held terminals (HHT’s), pump-trucks (once you’re trained) and work with clever conveyor systems that deliver parcels to you.
• You’ll then sort them into “collars” for smaller areas and postcodes.
